Mound Bayou-University of Mississippi Youth Summit

The JFK Hornets bus arrived Sunday afternoon with the Mound Bayou students for the Youth Summit.    After dorm check in, we picked up the Double Decker for our campus tour.  Dr. Moore--being the lifetime Mississippian and longest Ole Miss faculty member of the three of us, did the honors as tour director, while Dr. Simmons and his wife Cathy and I went to set up our comedy troupe at the Power House.

Outreach had provided pizza and drinks for before the show.  Thanks to Dr. Moore's generosity for underwriting the cost of this professional comedy troupe from Memphis, we had top-notch entertainment.  Thanks to the generosity of Outreach for underwriting the cost of the Power House Theater, Stefan Smith and Showtime Entertainment put on a delightful show that had us laughing all the way through.
They are a professional comedy troupe, who have a mission, which operates with the Church of God in Christ and a ministry to youth at risk and one approach is the use of comedy as a means to try to reach them.
The Reverend Bishop UhUh and his choir.
After a rousing show at the Power House theater we boarded the bus back to campus and the dorms to get ready for the morning workshops: the reason we are all here.  Video later, so stay tuned!
