Mound Bayou Marathon: Part II

Part of our history lesson was learning that the old depot building was located just across the street from the community facility, so we made that our first stop.  A portion of the depot had been incorporated into a residence.
The second stop was the old Knights and Daughters of the Tabor headquarters.  One of the students selected this angle of the roofline for a focused shot.  What I like about this photo is the the mix of vertical and horizontal lines.
Another student captured the rounded symmetry between the arched window and the arched facade.
Ricky and Verdel took a rest behind the building while waiting for use of the camera.
The group of students and their sponsors from the Special Events Committee gathered on the steps of the Taborian Hospital, our third stop along the walk.  We all agreed this was an incredible group of young people: talented, engaging, fun, and that it had been a joy to spend the afternoon with them.  I'll take a look at what captured their imagination at the Taborian on the next post.
