It was also an unusually harsh winter, making supplies harder to get, too. France sent woolen uniforms, but shoes were harder to come by.
Hard to imagine what life would have been like. Kinda glad I didn't have to find out. :)
Me, too. I never really thought I was interested in visiting there, but glad now that Randy wanted to. It was very educational.
