These are a few of the photos from the bus tour. While of course we saw much more, without getting off the bus (and then having to wait 45 minutes for another to come) we were limited as to what pictures we could take. Of course, we saw Reading Railroad, the "Rocky steps" and statue, the Rodin statue, many famous museums (including the first one designed by an African American, who wisely built the wings first, so they would have to fund building the central and main part :), bridges, etc.
Philadelphia has a mural project which was designed to combat the graffiti, and since its implementation, there has been much less graffiti. There were many beautiful murals throughout the city, on buildings, bridges, walls, etc.
There is also outstanding architecture--always one of my favorites. Having only a few hours, we could not do justice to the city, but it was still a delightful slice of life and one for which I am grateful.
